Paper & Plastics - I know it might be hard to imagine paper and plastic being made with hemp, but it is true. In fact, paper has been produced by hemp in this country since it s founding. It is said that the original copies of the Constitution was written on hemp paper. Regardless of the truth in that statement, the facts show that hemp has produced paper for quite some time in the world.
As for plastic, this is a relatively new development. Yet, think of the possibilities. If plastics can be produced from a sustainable resource, that could change the world. This is big because it would reduce the burden on landfills and waste in the cities. Truly a revolutionary possibility.
Fuel - Imagine a world where the fuel needed to drive a society was grown out of the ground. Today, the world is locked into a losing battle with getting its fuel from a dying resource, fossil fuels. The facts are that one day these resources are going to run out, leaving a dependent people to their knees.
The wise are exploring different avenues for fuel. Corn ethanol is gaining popularity, but there is another group turning to hemp ethanol to drive the industry of the future. Hemp is a much easier substance to grown in a variety of different climates make its reach even more powerful. The days of the dream of growing our fuel from the ground, instead of extracting it, are closer than we think.
